Class of 2014 prepares for final Walk Around the Quad; students and faculty reflect on their time at the College

Each spring, William Jewell College honors those students who have spent roughly the past four years dedicated to fulfilling the requirements for graduation and reaching the education standards set by the College. The commencement ceremony marks not only the achievement of a college degree but also the beginning of a change for graduates and their friends and family.

  • Athletic Department bids farewell to director, welcomes back tennis coach

    As students prepare for finals, there may be an element of excitement amid the sea of stress when considering what the upcoming 2014-15 academic year will look like on campus. In the athletic department, two major changes will mark the difference between this year and the next: the departure of Joel Lueken, associate athletic director, to the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in Rapid City, S.D., and the return of Paul Worstell, director of sports media and broadcasting and head men’s and women’s tennis coach, to the Hill after his battle with leukemia this year.
